Tear Drops (An Initiation)
And as I danced to the heartbeat of the Universe,
The tears came.
Tears falling not from grief, nor from joy,
But a dew evoked by the melody of one haunting note,
Carrying me through the Gates of Bilu,
To comprehend the tears of Ishtar.
And now these tears, bereft of salt,
Shall cause these eyes to cry no more.
